Bio

mixed-media, painter, collage artist

Kim Flora is a painter and collage artist working in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, the industrial coastline continues to inform her work.  Flora is a graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati where she received honors in both Fine Art and Art History.  Through her academic investigation into museum studies, Kim began her career in Museum work; specifically exhibition design and installation.  Flora has exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Wright State University, University of Wisconsin, Phyllis Weston Gallery, PAC Gallery and Manifest Gallery.   She has received numerous honors including a summer studio in Munich, Germany, through the Academy of Fine Art, Munich, as well as, receiving the City of Cincinnati’s Individual Artist Grant.  Flora's work can be found in various private and public collections including Tente International, the Cincinnati Art Museum, and the Horseshoe Casino, Cincinnati.
